Walter is waiting no more. This weekend he moved into his forever home in Arlington. He seems really happy so far and is behaving so well.
When he first got to his new home, Walter ran around sniffing everything. He's a hound dog, and you can tell he's got a great nose! After that, he ran to his new crate and curled up. He really loves that thing and can usually be found snoozing in it when he's not out playing or trying to sneak some treats.
(It's not too small, we promise! He just likes to lie with his head outside of it sometimes.)
Walter is super excited about some of his new toys. He has a stuffed beaver that he takes with him EVERYWHERE. Sometimes he'll take it in his mouth, toss it up in the air, wait a few seconds in a crouch, and then pounce on it. It's so adorable. He also looooves trying to lick peanut butter out of his Kong.
When Walter first arrived, he was pretty dirty. But he got a bath and now he's just the most handsome dog you ever saw. He really struts his stuff when he goes out for walks in the neighborhood. He loves to get pets from everyone who walks by. Sometimes he even goes running with his new family. They're embarrassed to admit that he's in better shape than his human friends!Walter seems really happy in his new home. His new family loves nothing more than to cuddle up with him on the floor and rub his tummy -- that's his favorite thing in the world. He could get tummy rubs all day long. Walter doesn't have to wait anymore for a forever home, because now he has one, full of people who adore him.
